I have a remote that came with my HVR-2250 that I would like to get working with GBPVR. This remote (RRS9002-86XXF) plugs directly into the PCI card itself, and doesn't seem to have any characteristics that match anything I can find online in any tutorials or instructions. Can anyone point me to something that would explain how to get this thing working?

what driver is it using in device manager? any? if none,i'd guess it's like the haupp. 45 button remotes and requires IR32.exe running to enable actions...[also hit the 'fix 45 bttn remote' button in config dvd tab after starting ir32.exe]

if it says 'consumer infrared' device, i'm not sure what can be done about those..
normally it's just like a pvr150 remote..
CIR devices are similar to MCE dongles but not exactly same..[remote is tho]
usually mce dongles are usb...

Well this IR32.exe app doesnt seem to recognize my IR sensor so I dont think this thing is going to work. So I guess my question is does anybody on this forum use the IR receiver and remote that comes with the HVR-2250?

and whats the deal with this "Your submission could not be processed because the token has expired." every time I try to do anything on this new forum
