bulk map broken?

I hit the bulk map option, and while I can change it to xmltv, I could not tell it what channel/station. The only other option I had was change the number on the left.

It is very, very slow doing it the other way, and very, very slow once you select update EPG.
I know it has to read the huge xml file, but isn't this cached at all ? It takes 60 secs per channel to update the EPG, no matter what the CPU speed is, or the amount of RAM in the system.

It also takes around 30 secs or so to manually change the channel to xml, then pick what it maps to.
With lots of channels, this really eats up the time.

you need to setup the first channel using the details screen for that channel, then use bulk map for the rest. it's one of those features that a bit difficult to document well, but easy to use once you understand it.

Right, that is what I tried. I picked one of the low end stations first, then set that manually to xml, pointed it to the xml file, and then picked the station to map it to.
Then, when that was done, I clicked OK, then went back and tried the bulk, and it did what I said above.

sorry then, perhaps something has been broken. I guess sub would have to test it out.

yes, that looks like spark's issue as well. something has apparently broken. sub will no doubt drop everything and fix it right away

Sure after I spent a few hours yesterday manually mapping all my clearQAM channels because the bulk map wasn't working how I read it should. It would have still taken me awhile as FiOS stopped sending channel IDs on almost every channel and I get >100 clearQAM channels, but setting the channel IDs if you have a list of what freq is what doesn't take near as long as the wait after changing a channel over to xmltv.

At least it will be easier next time.
