Is there an easy way I'm missing to delete a whole series? Say I want to delete all episodes of "Fast N' Loud" the tv show. I usually use the web interface table view and select the episodes individually using a find on the page.

For me, they would all be in the same folder on my hard drive and if I delete that folder NPVR deletes them from the database. That all depends on certain settings in config.xml, but the default is for it to clean out recordings that no longer exist. Somebody smarter than me chime in if I'm wrong.

Don't you have recordings of the same series in separate folders?

That's what I was going to suggest. If you've got to delete lots of recordings - probably just quicker to delete the files and let the app cleanup the database.

I can't even think how that would happen. I guess I would have to manually move them and then import them. Not a thing I would ever do. But I'm a simple soul...

Does it happen by default … there is a config.xml value … http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...nced#toc81

I didn't know that deleting the file would cause it to auto-delete it from the database. I always tried to delete from NPVR so as to not get it out of sync, but apparently it's smarter than I am.

When does it do the auto-delete? Is it a scheduled job?

Whenever it needs to load the recording list (go to the recordings screen etc), it'll check if the file still exists, if it doesn't then it cleans up.

But doesen't npvr keep series recordings in a virtual folder? Pressing Delete key on that virtual folder should delete all recordings from that series. It would be a much easier way than using windows explorer to delete since my recordings are scattered over four different drives.
