This plugin allows you to find/browse photos and (home) videos by Keywords, Dates, and/or Ratings. It includes a slideshow that handles mixed photos and videos.

v1.1 released:

• Photos are automatically rotated based on Orientation metadata
  
• Can save and load filters
  
• Calendar popup to select a year or specific month
  
• Can add/modify preset dates ("last number of days" entries)
  
• Background threads used so that there is indication something is loading

Note that there seems to be a serious memory leak in the "Windows API Codepack for .NET" (what the plugin uses to interact with the Windows shell) that really manifests itself with the new calendar selection feature that I just added. You may notice NPVR consuming a lot of memory after using this plugin for a while forcing you to restart NPVR. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a release of the Windows API Code Pack in 2 years so I don't think this will be fixed by Microsoft and therefore I won't be able to fix it in the plugin.

Is this being developed any more.

I'm looking for a photo viewer that can do video as well. Basically I have jpg and .avi .mov files from the digital camera. These are in the pictures library.
Basically all thats required is a plugin that allows a folder to be selected and slideshows / forward / back control the images in filename order.
With no memory leaks!

Is it possible to do a cut down version of this plugin to avoid memory leaks and perform this simple function?

You would be better off asking sub to allow for mixed photos and videos in the built-in photo viewer since it already is browsing by folders.

I suprised no one has requested it as so many camera can take video clips.

You might be able to do this by adding video extensions to this tag in config.xml
<PictureLibrary extensions="^.+\.(bmp|jpg|png|tiff|tif)$">

ah ha - no luck - not that simple !

I got the list of files (avi, mov plus the pictures) but they don't play.
