What I mean is, all files in the video folder has no "picture" of them, so I wonder if there's an addon that will create a picture from each video
and where that is can be set in... let's say seconds, and the snapshot will be created of one frame (close/near) to the set seconds in the video.
Hope that is clear enough Tongue

Is there an addon for this?

Looks like you can do this with a VLC command line.

MPlayer and ffmpeg also have command line image extraction.

Besides VLC Player and players like powerdvd, you could use other tools too:

ThumbGen

or more simplier

Video Thumbnails Maker

Problem on the last one: it cost's money (even if the dev means, that it's only donating; you'll get watermarks without activating it) and you have to activate it again after every new installation ...
Next problem is, that it's programmed fairly bad. It has a few issues with different video decoders and he's talking about, that everything else is bad, but not his software. *gnihihi*

Though this one is the software i am using. Because it's easy to configure and supports batchcreating too.

ThumbGen looks more promising, but it needs way more maintenance for working well.

Creating thumbs with vlc is a horrible thing, especially if you have thousands of files ...
You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!
