Hi Sub

My parents cable provide (Yousee) seems to have decided to move back in time, so subtitles for hearing impaired is only available with teletext subtitles.

Any way I can persuade you to support teletext subtitles preferably with opaque box?

Teletext subtitles are supported, but only for digital. How is the box connected to the htpc, and what kind of cable is it (dvb-c etc)?

I would like to have a look at your sample, but the link seems to be broken, can you upload it again? Are you able to get the teletext menu by typing ctrl-x (or Alt-x) while watching live tv or a recording?

As Reddwarf say, it should already support teletext subtitles. If you right click on the window, does the subtitles context menu have a teletext option listed?

That myupload.dk site doesnt seem to want to give me the file.

Is there any chance you can supply a longer sample? 30 seconds or so would be ideal.

In the stream is a peice of data called the 'teletext descriptor' which describes what teletext services are available. This usually says something like:

'start page' is 100
'nor' subtitles 390
'swe' subtitles 391

In your example stream, you've only got:

'start page' is 100

...so it doesnt think any subtitles are available.

Yep, I see it now, it is neither DVB- not Teletext subtitles but Closed Captions. Then it will depend on what decoders you use if you are able to see them at all.

I found out why 'closed captions' appeared, and have fixed it for the next build of nextpvr.exe. This is unrelated to teletext not showing up - thats because of what I mentioned above.

'closed captions' is supposed to only appear for USA and Canada, but I temporarily forced it to think it was USA for some testing, but forgot to remove it. For the next build it'll be back to only appearing for USA and Canada.
