Hi
my old router packed up. NPVR has been working fine for a couple of years. I had everything on Static IP, so my PC where my mvpmc folder was 192.168.1.2. The NMT was 192.168.1.3. The new router only supports 192.168.0.xxx so Ive assigned the PC as 192.168.0.107 and the NMT as 192.168.0.108. But now NPVR won't start on the NMT. Ive tried editing the npvr.cgi file from the mvpmc folder and put the ip of the PC in (right ?). And it wont start via the network browser either (Request cannot be processed). The network itself all seems to work ok.. everything sees everything else from both ends... is there somewhere else I should put in the new IP ? . Also, can't find the logs to post..
Would rather not reinstall as I have a lot of other stuff that will probably break !
Here is the output of the NMTChecker

Code:

Before you tweak the hell out of all you connected devices, double check your statement above - It sounds most unlikely to me. (what make/model?)

Rory, the NMT Syntax check looks good so could you compress and upload the NPVR.cgi file please.

Typically, if you change the address of the router, it will change the addresses assigned by it's DHCP server. The reason it's only "supporting" 192.168.0.x is because the IP address of the router is in that subnet.

This shouldn't be causing your problem however.

The manual shows under 'Advanced Settings | Lan Settings':

[INDENT]LAN MAC address: The Router’s LAN MAC address, which is unchangeable.
IP address: The Router’s LAN IP address (not your PC’s IP address). The default value is 192.168.0.1; you can change it when necessary.
Subnet mask: The Router’s LAN subnet mask. The default value is 255.255.255.0
NOTE:
Once you modify the IP address, you need to remember it for next time you log in to the web-based utility.
[/INDENT]

Change the 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1. Just remember you'll need to change your static IPs to access the router.
I used the manual at: http://www.tenda.cn/tendacn/DownLoads/sh...downid=936
EVGA 730i 113-YW-E115
C2D E8400 C0 Stepping
4gb GSkill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ
500 GB Seagate SATAII
Win7
HVR-2250 TV Tuner
NPVR 2.3.6

Thanks all for your help, especially rookie and Martin (as usual)... I changed my router ip to 192.168.1.1, reassigned all my IPs to their original values, (In TCP-IP properties on the PC and on the NMT) and re-used my backed up npvr.cgi file. Working again... now how about a tidy up, can I just delete my GBPVR.html and gbpvr.cgi from my mvpmc folder ?

many thanks
