1 WinTV-HVR-2250 sometimes can record 3 shows

Hi,

Something odd has been happening recently with my WinTV-HVR-2250 and NPVR. Mostly I can record 2 QAM shows at a time, sometimes 3. In status, of the settings it shows 4 total. I think something weird is going on with my configuration.

I recently upgraded, but this issue was happening before. Any tips are appreciated.

Nothing wrong, working as designed. NextPVR has a multi-record feature where you can record all (virtual) channels that are on the same frequency using a single tuner.

This is normal. NextPVR has a 'multi-record' feature that can will attempt to record more than one channel per tuner if it can. It can only do this when multiple digital channels are on the same frequency.

I can record 8 or more DVB channels simultaneously with a single tuner.

That is great! Is there a way to figure out why sometimes I can do more than 2 and sometimes not?

In Device -> Setup all QAM/ATSC channels shown on the same "Freq" would be available for multi-rec.

It would be nice thou, if you could have a cououred bar next to the channel name/icon that showed the same colour for equal frequencies. I'v missed that too...
