Good Day.....
Another Noobie here.
I have been a BeyondTV user for just over a year and a half(and regretting that purchase ever since). I have been experimenting with NPVR and BeyondTV for a couple of months now trying to get the best configuration. I have to admit that by far NextPVR is far superior, especially when you include just a few plugins. My last issue that I am having now that I have fully converted over to NPVR is that my PostProcessing.bat file is not executing at the end of a recording. I honestly tried my best to figure this out on my own but to no avail. The bat file has only one line in it that calls a compiled perl script which I am using to quickfix, run comskip and run videoredo on the file. From the command line everything works fine when I run the executable:

Code:
@echo off
C:\MPlayer\process_videos.exe  %~f1

Edit: (Running Windows XP Professional 64 Bit)

Am I doing something incorrectly or missing something fairly simple here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My NRecord.log file contents of my last recording attempt are below along with zipped logfile.

Thank you and Regards

File Contents:

Use %1 instead of %~f1 in the batch file.

It's definitely running your batch file. It'll be some logic problem in your batch file. (like it's expecting certain paths, or the utilities you're running cant run in a service, or something similar)

The issue isn't that your PostProcessing.bat isn't running, it's that it fails when called by NRecord.

Try adding "cd \MPlayer" at the beginning.

If that doesn't do it, then perhaps your compiled script probably doesn't like running as Local System. NRecord runs as a service using the Local System account, therefore all the scripts run as that user as well. You can run NRecord as a regular admin-priveledged user (change it in services.msc), though sometimes that has other side effects (though I can't say what those would be... I haven't tried it in awhile).

Thank you all. I am getting ready to board a plane for a long ride from Fl. to NH (only because it's cold at home) I will work through your suggestions and post back as soon as possible. Thank you all again for all your help thus far.

you need to use C:\MPlayer\process_videos.exe "%~f1"
or C:\MPlayer\process_videos.exe %1
the %~ strips the quotes even if they were necessary, so you have to add them back yourself..
%1 will already have quotes if needed..

%~1 = %1 w/any quotes stripped off
%1 = exactly as passed from npvr [which is usually ok cuz npvr includes them if needed]
%~f1 = full path with no quotes, [don't use]
"%~f1" = full path, with quotes whether needed or not. assures only one set of quotes whether incoming cmd had them or not.
"%~dpnx1" = same as full path with quotes always..
"%~dp0" = path of batch file
"%cd%" = current directory

Thank you all. Between all of your suggestions(including switching the service to run under my administrative account and adding the executable's directory to the PATH. I can now see my process_videos.exe launching! (This software truly rocks! Thanks to all who created it and still maintain it!). Big Grin Now to get my rename function working and I think I will be all set. NScriptHelper.exe doesn't seem to be working and sometimes crashes but I will start a different thread if I need help there. Thank you again to all who gave me there suggestions!
