I am soon going to move to a new house and will have only satellite. I want to eventually have 4 satellite receivers feeding into 4 capture devices using GB-PVR. What is the status of satellite support with GB-PVR? What issues will come up and what equipment will i need to make this work with GB-PVR?

Thanks

It's still very early days for satellite support (I assume you're talking DVB-S), but it does work for me with my single Hauppauge Nova-S. In theory it should work with 4 device, but I cant be sure at this stage.

There is no DiSeq support, so each DVB-S card will need to have either it's own LNB.

Wow. I feel like i got more than I bargained for. :-) I'm new to satellite. I was assuming that any DiSeq work would be done by hardware installed by the sat company and i would just be taking output from the receiver boxes and feeding it to some capture cards.

My question more revolved around the EPG and using the remote control from the MediaMVP to control the satelllite boxes (using something like an IR blaster)

Ah I see what you mean. I was talking about native support for DVB via the BDA recording plugin. You were talking about using an analog connection from your satellite boxes into PVR150/250/etc cards.

Yes, this should work fine. You may end up having to use a combination of IR Blasters. Most (all?) IR Blasters are designed to have a maximum of one in a machine. Also, if the satellite receivers are all the same type, they may all respond to the same IR signals.
