Reoccurring Recordings Expiration Setting

Perhaps this already exists in some way and I don't see it. If not, I think a recordings expiration might be handy.

All TV series eventually end. What happens if you're lazy, like me, and never remove the reoccurring recordings from the scheduler?

Perhaps something like: if no new episodes are recorded in x months, remove it from the recording events?

I don't know about automatically removing recordings. However, what I would like to see is that the recurring recording table have a column to store the date/time of the last scheduled matching recording and then the nightly EPG update would update that table when recurring recordings are scheduled. And then be able to sort the recurring recording listing by that last recorded date. Then the user could easily delete those ones that are "old" and no longer being used.
