Is WinTV-USB2.0 (vs WinTV-PVR-USB2.0) compatable?

I think my last post had a few too many questions in it! I'll just focus on the key question is would be great to get any thoughts on:

Is the WinTV-USB2.0 compatible with GB-PVR or will I need the WinTV-PVR-USB2.0 (I'm not sure on the difference except around GBP50!?- details in links below:

Also are these the right ones for input (with stereo sound/good TV quality) from an NTL digital box or is there a better solution?
