This morning I was having a late morning coffee while watching the news channel, in the back of my head I was wondering what was going on in the London Olympics then suddenly a PIP window opened and showed me the sports channel! All by itself, I had not touched neither the remote nor the keyboard since starting live tv. The pip window stayed open and I could swap the pip/main. So, is there a ghost in npvr or does it do some kind of mind reading? Big Grin

Has anyone else experienced this?

Anything "special" added to your coffee?

lol, may want to double-check what's in that sugar bowl!

it might be interesting to have a look at the NPVR log for the time it happened.

Do you have a wireless keyboard? We've seen a couple of confirmed occurances in the past were wireless keyboards have generated key presses by themselves. They changed keyboards and the problem went away.

Plasma screens and IR receivers are another possibility.

In those logs it looks like a key was pressed. I'm still guessing it's something like key press event being sent by your ir receiver, or a bug in your ir software.

There is an IR receiver pointing towards a window, but it would have to receive a two digit channel number followed by shft-8 to open that pip window. Not totally impossible but probably a on-in-billion chance. It has happened that live tv has started in the middle of the night but that has been because one of the cats had been on the table and stepped on the remote. But what do you know, odd things happens Big Grin

No, it wouldn't be that difficult. It'd only need to receive the single keycode that represents shift-8. If you dont prefix it with a number, it'll just open to whatever was last viewed. It could just as easily be a bug in your IR software, which saw a IR blip and sent a previous keycode that it still had in some buffer.

You sure you didn't just bump that one button?
