epg not updating again

My epg quit updating about 3 weeks ago, I've had this problem before and it just started working with no intervention from me. I use the built in SD support for my epg, I had been updating manually but last night I updated my nshared and npvr files trying to get xmbc working on my android stick and now there is no manual update epg button in settings. I did grab a set of logs which I'll attach.

It tried to update the EPG, but Schedules Direct disconnected without returning the data. Either Schedules Direct was having problems at the time, or you have some firewall software that is getting in the way of communication:

I use windows firewall and I give nrecord, ndigitalhost, and nextpvr permission is there something else I need to change? This had been an off and on problem for a while now, it will work for a while then just stop, I also don't know where the manual update epg buttion disappeared to.

No, that should be enough.

If you've got a huge number of channels or slow internet connection, maybe you're encountering some timeout. If that was the case, you could see if reducing the number of channels helps.

I have about 85 channels total and 4 mbit? (never sure what the right abbreviation is) download.

I searched that specific error on this forum, found it several times, and the users always reported that the problem was related to their permissions. NRecord.exe and NextPVR.exe need access to the internet or at least the Schedules Direct site, not just the local with the Windows firewall and with any anti-virus suite with their own internet protection you have.

I use security essentials which has no firewall and all the permissions are set in windows firewall.

Autoupdate doesn't work at all anymore, I am having to update the epg manually all the time now.

Is it the same error in your logs, about an error with the socket?
