Tuner No Longer Available

I seem to be getting these more or less at random when I either attempt to record or change channels

I'm running an XTreamer Ultra2 with openELEC 3.0 RC4

In my XBMC log file I'm seeing things like:

both the Xtreamer and the NextPVR box (32-bit win 7) are connected via gigabit to the same switch.


When I'm able to tune channels, they tune within 4 to 5 seconds, when I can't, the waiting graphic (circle with little spokes sticking out) just runs in a loop. Hitting stop freezes the box for about 20 seconds with the error message

I'm running R2 with the updated NShared.dll to use the nextpvr web console that is currently in alpha

It's worth noting that any version of NShared newer than the one posted by reven will be fine to use. If you've stuck with the one in the web console thread, then should update to one of the newer versions.

What tuner are you using?

I'm using an HDHomeRun Prime with the latest beta firmware
just uninstalled NextPVR completely and then did a reinstall with R2 - did not install the alternate alpha web ineterface
it's playing right now though I did experience this without the alpha web interface

Can you enable debug logging in XBMC, then reproduce the problem and post the xbmc.log, and the web.log and nrecord.log files?

What were you doing at the time when it froze?

Are you talking about the XBMC client freezing, or the backend server?

Your logs show the same problem he had before that patch.

I shut the service down, installed the patch but am still getting the same 'Tuner No Longer Available' though it took about 8 channel changes to make it happen
I was able to change to a channel after that message and tune it ok
then changed the channel again and it's just spinning
