info / progress bar - pops up randomly

Recently the info / progress bar during playback of recordings seems to pop up randomly.
I'm not touching any controls or remote and it pops up at odd times at a rate of few minutes.
Any ideas?

Batteries in a wireless keyboard or mouse are nearly dead? I had a keyboard that would "type" continuously when its battery was nearly flat.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's somehow to do with the wireless mouse you're using. We've seen these indicating slight mouse movements in the past. You can easily test by unplugging the receiver to see if it goes away. I'm assuming you've also got a remote.

Spot on guys. - I hardly use the mouse and didn't realise a mouse move popped up the progress bar. The mouse was tilted half on a cd and glass shelf. I should have spotted that. I blame the children toys everywhere!! - it's hard to find my toys anymore
