There seems to be some problem with the quality of the recording of the same channel in 2.6.2.

I give an example:

I record a channel from 0800 to 0901, and the same channel from 0900 to 1001.

For the first recording, there is a problem at 0900 where the playback of the clip indicates a slight jerking, at the time when the second recording is starting.

This doesn't happen with the previous version.

Did some test recordings around.

I noticed that it doesn't really matter what channel is being recorded, whether be it same or different. There seems to be a problem outputting to a recording file in progress for that moment where another recording is starting to record.

Do I need to supply the logs, or just the video files of a short recorded clip? Cos I think the logs might not show anything with regards to this issue.

I'm not aware of any issue, or changes in the current version of the app that would cause that. A short sample video showing what it looks like might help.

Sure... will record a 2 min clip so as to reduce size.

I have this problem with both my Hauppauge 4400 cards and a TBS 6891, but I think it's related to them being buggy and introducing glitches into the data stream when one of the other tuners kicks in. I very much doubt it's anything to do with NPVR (in my case)...probably something duff about the cards or how they work over PCIe.

As the file is large and I do not have access to a host that supports the file, I started a bittorrent file hosting the file. Kindly download the video clip via the torrent and when the download is finished, do kindly let me know so that I can stop hosting the file. Smile

Cannot be, cos I did not experience such problem prior to 2.6.2, not even the miscellaneous patches from 2.5.9, or even just 2.5.9 itself when it comes to multiple simultaneous recordings.

Sorry, but I don't do torrents here, and would rather not install/run any new software just to download this file. You'll need to put it somewhere else. Dropbox, rapidshare etc?

Ok download here:

Anyway, it's at the halfway point of the clip... ie 1 min or thereabouts.
