I've seen this problem mentioned in other posts but never spotted an answer to the problem. Everything in my current installation of NPVR is working great with this exception: I cannot watch a program that is currently recording and there is never a resume option when restarting a program, it just starts from the beginning. Is this a setting I've missed? This isn't a deal breaker but I don't think this is normal.

This is on my client pc with all recordings being done on the server. I'm using SD Prime as the tuners

You didn't post logs, it does work but I know that there is one bug I've reported with this. If you like to play catchup, and get too close to the current end of the file, NextPVR considers it watched so it won't resume.

are you running the current release, 2.6.2? there were some bugs like this a couple of releases ago, but they've been fixed.
server: NextPVR 5.0.7/Win10 2004/64-bit/AMD A6-7400k/hvr-2250 & hvr-1250/Winegard Flatwave antenna/Schedules Direct
main client: NextPVR 5.0.7 Desktop Client; LG 50UH5500 WebOS 3.0 TV

I am running 2.6.2. I've deleted the program I was having trouble with so I'll wait until later tonight and then send the logs after it does it again. Any thoughts on the lack of a resume choice?

I may have been the cause of one of the problems. In reading through the forum installation sticky I noticed I should set my SD Prime tuners for NVPR instead of Windows. I did that and now I can watch while recording without any problem. But, I still have the problem of not having a 'resume' choice if I leave and then return to a video. Logs attached.

Did you allow both read and write access to your share?

Code:
2013-06-18 19:35:16.765    [DEBUG][1]    PlaybackPositionHelper.DeletePlaybackPosition(\\Jim-pc\e\TV\Eyewitness News at 600PM\Eyewitness News at 600PM_20130618_18001830-0.ts)
2013-06-18 19:35:16.782    [ERROR][1]    Unexpected error deleting PLAYBACK_POSITION: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: Attempt to write a read-only database
attempt to write a readonly database

I'm using a Win7 homegroup as the network and according to it everything is shared on both the server and the client computers. If you're talking about something else I need to know a little more.

If it's any help, the resume option is working on the server, just not on the client. I've also noticed the client has trouble refreshing the video list without exiting and then restarting. When I do that the server listing is correct. I may be mistaken but this inability to refresh seems to occur after I stop a video and then restart it. If I don't do that the video files refresh properly as internet downloads occur.

Make sure you have the option here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windo...ic-folder# to

"Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can open, change, and create files"

The simplest way to check if the NextPVR client has full access to the required server directories is from the client create a file in the NPVR data directory where the database is on the server then delete it then do the same thing to the "Recordings" directory.
