Some of the E models are 2011, others are 2012. According to http://plexforsamsung.pbworks.com/w/file...erview.png the E5500 and E5700 are 2011, so it won't work. Reven might want you to try it anyway, just to double-check, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

sorry not looking for any more testers ATM, I thought all E models were 2012 devices however.
I'm also reluctant to accept any low posters as beta testers (they very seldom actually post any feedback and just want a copy of it, not saying thats you, but its generally true).

The E models were released in the 2012 model year, but some have the 2011 SmartHub system. I've seen videos from samsung product support, and the E5500 and E5700 have the exact same SmartHub screens as my D5300. The 2012 SmartHub is quite different, much prettier, different menus. Note the big difference between this video for the "true" 2012 E-series models: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M20LRhJoy8w and this one for the E5700: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HmZWKBv6NM

Ok, I you change your mind let me know. (the only way to find out if I will post replies is to try it out....)
I do think that the product you are building is a good extension for nextpvr and i would buy it if it works well. Good luck developing. |
