I have been trying to get the Live TV to work for a couple days now. Strangely I do see .ts files being created in my buffer directory. But I never see live tv, a couple times I could hear a word as the channel started but no picture ever shows up. Recording seems to work, at least it is creating a file in the correct directory. Unless the DigitalPVR log is in another directory, I am not creating one. Attached are the log files for NPVR, NRecord & web. Please let me know if you need any more information. My eventual goal is to stream to the XBMC HTPC's around the house, but one step at a time.

Win7 or 8? Try the Microsoft DTV-DVD decoder for mpeg2 in Win7

if you want to use ffmpeg make sure you enable it for mpeg2 video in its codec setup

For Network Recorder you have a channel or two that don't return data likely they aren't copy freely.

Windows 7 x64.

I got a few frames using the Microsoft DTV-DVD decoder. But then it freezes.

I reinstalled the LAV decoders. Is there a folder to put the ffmpeg decoders in or just the root of the NVPR folder?

Don't put them in the NextPVR folder. Put them somewhere else on your disk.

Try increasing the Network Recorder timeout to 4000 in the xml file and restart.

Okay I put the ffmpeg exe's into the Windows folder. I switched the video decoder to use it still no dice, tried the LAV decoder as shown in his FAQ, I got a single frame and then it freezes.

I can't find Network Recorder in the config.xml file, is in another file?

I tried a few channels in WMC and I can get a few that I have tried in NPVR. I did have the MWC service stopped as I had read they don't play nice together.

I have modified the delay so now my XML looks like below. It tries really hard to display the top first line of the picture but still just freezes after a few seconds.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Settings>
<PluginSettings>
<NetworkRecorder id="20" instance="1">
<FriendlyName>Tuner 1</FriendlyName>
<host>127.0.0.1</host>
<port>6972</port>
<delay>4000</delay>
</NetworkRecorder>
<NetworkRecorder id="21" instance="2">
<FriendlyName>Tuner 2</FriendlyName>
<host>127.0.0.1</host>
<port>6981</port>
<delay>4000</delay>
</NetworkRecorder>
<NetworkRecorder id="22" instance="3">
<FriendlyName>Tuner 3</FriendlyName>
<host>127.0.0.1</host>
<port>6979</port>
<delay>4000</delay>
</NetworkRecorder>
<NetworkRecorder id="23" instance="4">
<FriendlyName>Tuner 4</FriendlyName>
<host>127.0.0.1</host>
<port>6975</port>
<delay>4000</delay>
</NetworkRecorder>
</PluginSettings>
</Settings>
