ctrl-k starts recording, but I can't stop it

Hi there.
This may seem like an odd problem, but when I press ctrl-k to start recording, and I want to stop it, there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to abort the recording. I press escape, ctrl-s, but it still won't stop. Is there a key combo I can push to stop it or do I have to go into the web interface and stop it from there?

Go to the recordings screen and cancel it just like a "normal" recording.

Unfortunately, I can't do this, because I am totally blind and use a screen reader and apart from the dropdown right click menu, I am unable to use the normal gui.
My screen reader can't read graphics or the whole gui, but it can use the web interface.
Is there a button in the web interface that can stop it? if not, could you perhaps think about adding an item in the system tray context menu, or an option in the web interface to control your recordings from there?
