UK HD crashing when subtitles active

Hi I,m new to Nextpvr I,m having problems with DVB subtitles on UK HD broadcasts whether recorded or live, when they are switched on npvr crashes when it attempts to display subtitles.
subtitles are ok with SD material recorded or live.log attached

how big a sample, and how do I go about sending.?

Maybe a couple of minutes, with people talking etc.

You could use something like dropbox to share the file with me.

What codec are you using? I'm fairly sure I've seen crashes with the pdvd 13 one, but the ms one is fine.

I, m using pdvb13 but I don't get crashes when using media portal with the same codec.I will try other codecs later

Thanks bdg1943, I got the file.

I was able to reproduce the problem, and was able to do a temporary fix and see it working. DVB Subtitles are effectively pictures, and every other DVB Subtitle I've seen in the past made a 720x576 bitmap, which was the only option in the spec when I implemented it a couple of years ago. This file instead produced a 1920x1080 picture. This is the first time I've ever seen HD DVB Subtitles.

In the temporary fix, I've hard coded it to 1920x1080 and the DVB Subtitles show up fine, but it breaks regular 720x576 DVB Subtitles. I'll have to look into how I can detect this dynamically.

My build isn't compatible with 3.1.x anymore, so unfortunately it'll mean waiting for the next release though, rather than a patch.

Tried both ms codec and ffdshow both crash, see sub,s reply#7 above
