trying to migrate from GBPVR to NPVR.

I have installed Haup Wintv v3.2 and can see the satellite channel in WinTV
I see the card in NPVR device settings
I added the channels via xmltv file and had s-video selected

However, when I try liveTV, I just get blank screen. Read about SoftTV but not sure if anything needed beyond running Haup install?
I also tried to play some GBPVR recordings (mpg) and they do not play (acts like empty file)

Can you also attach your nrecord.log?

OK. I think I have had this problem 10 times before....no temp folder...and then when I added it, I did not restart NPVR.

Working...now need to get ir remote working

OK remote working.
Now I have a problem with the TV guide. I get a duplicate channel number (which I assume is artifact of the XMLTV). I can edit the channel name to remove this but the logo is on top of the channel number. Is there a way to config the layout?

The easiest fix is probably just to delete the channel icons. Otherwise you'd probably have to tweak the skin files to move items around.

What do you have your UI Resolution set at?? For me with mine set at 1280x720 it displays three digits for the channel numbers (refer image attached)

I solved the layout by messing with the skin but I am back to PVR150 issues. After declaring to the wife everything was done, this morning NPVR declares "unable to find capture device". No live TV (was working) and now WinTV says "no tuner available". Everything works in GBPVR so it is not the card. I tried to reinstall the WINTV software and still same problem. Must be SoftPVR or driver issue or service problem but no idea since everything worked last night....

ran hcwclear.exe and reinstalled WinTV7...now WinTV does not show the tuner card. Windows device manager does show the card.

from bad to worse, after the Wintv reinstall, now WINTV won't start. "HauppaugeTVServer" service is stuck in "starting" with no option to start, stop or anything.

Run Services.msc, find HauppauheTVService and right click on it, choose Properties and change Automatic to Disabled. This service shoud not be running when you run NPVR. After a reboot you should be good to go.
