I upgraded to 3.2.9 last night. This morning I watched a few shows and everything seemed to be working ok. Then this afternoon I discovered that the NRecord.exe process/service wasn't running. Looking at the logs (in logs.zip attachment), it appears that it had just started a recording on my DCR-2605 and then died silently. Looking in the recordings directory, it created a 0 byte file. I restarted the service and it immediately tried to begin another recording on the DCR-2605 and again died the same way (NRecord.zip).

There is already a thread about this here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...e-to-3-2-9.

It seems to specifically relate to cablecard devices.

I think that is exactly the problem I was having with 3.2.9, since my HDHomeRun Prime uses a cablecard.

So my first problem (with 3.1.1) was with the antivirus, and my second problem (with 3.2.9) is this one; the recording service dies in the same way and I have been unable to fix it with several attempts at re-installs, though 3.1.1 works fine now.

I'm also having recording problems with NPVR. This started this morning, before I did the latest update. I have a HD Prime with a cable card which is working just fine. I can watch all the channels on the HD Prime tuner. If I try to use NPVR for live tv I get a blank screen although the Prime channel light turns on. I do get a screen that says an exception has occured. Again, this started before the update so I think this is something else. I'm also unable to get Schedules Direct to populate the epg. I've been on their site and done the necessary things to get it to populate the epg but nothing is happening on this end. There appears to be a problem with the recording service. I have read the other thread but I'm not an advanced enough user to make much sense of it. I'd appreciate any help possible. You're welcome to connect with my computer if you want to.
