Conflict resolution deleted recording ?

Yesterday, I cancel a recording early that was finished, LAudition_20140407_21002302.ts in TV Listings

Then I went to record News Final_20140407_23000000.ts or CTV National News at 23:00 (one of the two were in conflict.) So I got prompted to cancel LAudition and one of the News Shows. But L'Audition was already stopped, So I pick that choice ... but somehow it was deleted :eek: ... did I respond to the wrong prompt ?!:

It happens often with 3.2.9 that I see conflict and even if I cancel one the conflicting recording before, there is no way to resolve the conflict in TV Listings.

I was able to record the rebroadcast later in the early hour of the morning, but that almost fail because PC went to sleep 2 minutes before recording another show at 2:31, it did wake up before l'audition at 3:02am :confused:

Now that is an interesting use case. Doesn't sound like you did anything wrong since the delete api will delete shows if they end up in Resolve.

I guess resolving a conflict by deleting a show isn't the wanted behaviour
It has to cancel a recording to resolve a conflict not to erase one.

BTW I haven't found a way to resolve a conflict even after conflicting recording were cancelled. The only choice in TV Listing is something like 'No changes. Cancel my new recording request'
In TV Guide, the conflict isn't showed
In Recordings all conflicts are present, even in the past !!! back to April 1st for recurring recording.
But if I select the one for today, I do have choices of recording to cancel to resolve the conflict.
In TV Recording, mostly future conflicts are present (got a few from April ), but only 'No changes. Cancel my new recording request' option is available.

Seems like TV Listings isn't the best way to resolve conflict

If you mean the TV Listing plugin, it is quite possible that alibert hasn't updated or tested his plugin for 3.2.9. Given that I would avoid it for conflict resolution.

I have used Recordings to resolve conflicts a couple of times and it has worked. One thing I noticed is that if you run an epg update in the meantime the conflict re-apperes. Shouldn't npvr remember that a specific recording is canceled in order to resolve a conflict?

Come to think of it ... earlier today I finished watching a recording and I was prompted if I wanted to delete the show .... maybe that's what happened yesterday, I was watching it, cancel the recording because it was finished, so it ended
During the conflict prompt, the Delete when finished prompt probably appeared and I click OK .... :eek:
I have disabled the feature now

Next time I will try to manage conflicts through the Recordings instead of TV Recordings plugin
