Hi Forum,

I am new to NPVR. I have been using WMP for some time, which, recently stopped recording altogether. Ultimately I would like to use Kodi/XBMC front-end with NPVR as the back-end.

I have downloaded the latest version and installed it. When I start NPVR I get SQL Logic error ... no such column c.minor.

After clicking away the error message three times the NPVR program starts. When I try to configure the DVB-T devices no channels load.

I have attached a Log file.

I have tried re-installing a few times also made sure .Net framework updated.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Regards,
Geoff

Was this a brand new install, or an upgrade from earlier version?

It was a new install to begin with.

I have susequentlt re-installed another two times. To do this I used AVG to un-install.

I am wondering if Windows Media Centre might be holding onto the tuners? Dual Duners are Videomate E750.

Can you post the npvr.log after an attempted scan?

When I open NPVR I now get a message I have not seen before:

"Server database not found at: \\hushpc\npvr\npvr.db3"

I click OK and go to Settings\Devices:

"Initiating Device Scan" -> there is no apparent activity. OK is all that is available to click -> Devices screen closes.
Act as client pc is ticked
Server name: hushpc
Database Share:\\hushpc\npvr

Log Folder attached.

This is because you've now ticked the 'Act as Client' checkbox on the Settings->Devices screen. Untick that. You only tick it in a client/server setup, where another machine is acting as the server.

Good. I am back to where I started.

I have attempted to scan for channels for both devices. Log folder attached.

It looks like NextPVR is being denied permission to write to it's own c:\users\public\npvr data directory. This is either because you've set odd permissions on the directory denying permission, or you're running firewall/antivirus software that is actively denying NextPVR write access. My guess is the latter is your problem.

Problem persists with Firewall off.

Should I find a folder called Data along this path:
c:\users\public\npvr data directory
I don't. I created one. Didn't help so removed it.

AVG thought a file called (something like) 'NPVR Tray' was a virus. I indicated that it was not.

Should I, perhaps re-install NPVR Or: is there a way I can check this stuff.

Attached screenshot of NPVR Directory/Folder.
