Recording naming

My recordings are now been named with a long number in brackets at the end whats with that ?

ie "Police ten 7 (S1021925E103852962)"

Looks messy and untidy.
Is there a way to make it just "Police ten 7"

There are some new options at Settings --> Recordings and then File Naming. I suspect that NextPVR is attempting to series and episode numbers to the filename.

Yep, you've got screwy season and episode info in your EPG. Best to untick the above renaming option until such time as you can get better EPG data.

Nice to know though that if any shows do continue for over a million years, NextPVR will be able to name the recordings properly. Big Grin

(Would that be Y1MM-Ready?)

I thought i had turn them all off didnt seem to change anything
just did fresh install on a client still shows the same with all the new extras unticked

Is it unticked on the server? That's the only place it matters.

For new recordings yes, but on older recordings the files are what they are.

Will go check do i need to refresh recording service or anything for it to show different or should it just change after a restart of app

The weird thing is i first noticed it 2 weeks ago when i loaded a new version on a client machine with the server been on old version(sorry dont know numbers)

yes server unticked would have restart overnight also

epd data is coming from epg collecter NZ
dvb-s stuff is ok
