Hi sub,

My NextPVR system is very reliable thanks to your care and attention.

One of the few remaining problems I have is that my Nova-T-500 occasionally fails to lock and creates a zero byte recording. I experience this on Live TV, and changing away from the channel and back again fixes it.

Would it be possible to check the file after say 30 seconds, and if the file is zero bytes it is treated as an error and another attempt is made at the recording?

Thanks for considering this Smile

From memory, NextPVR does somat like this already. It checks for a zero byte recording and then does some stunt to try and kickstart the tuner. It may be that the stunt ain't doing it for your tuner.

If you unplug the tuner from the aerial and then start a recording, you might see some messages in the ndigitalhost log to tell you what's occurring.

Think I recall having this discussion with sub and was told it doesn't presently do this, but I'm prepared to stand corrected. Smile
