I just reinstalled NPVR after upgrading my computer to 64-bit Windows. Some of my old EPG tools aren't working with the new version of Windows, so I currently have NPVR using Schedules Direct as the EPG source.

That works fine, but I'm wondering if there's a way to highlight which shows are new episodes in the TV Guide? NPVR knows which episodes are new for recording the shows, so I'm hoping there's an easy way to show them in the guide?

Try TV Listings, I think it does that.

[I work for Schedules Direct]

Can you give me an example of a program (using the stationID / date / time) that should have had the "New" tag but didn't? The metadata for in the schedule indicates whether a program is New, so I can see what's on the server. (This might be because even though the metadata for the schedule indicates that it's new, there's no UI that let's you know that)

Yeah, with Schedules Direct, NextPVR knows it's a new show, but it doesn't show this info in the guide.

In the past I've used a collection of tools that added an asterisk (*) to the show title to indicate new episodes. Very useful feature I wish was available in NPVR.

I can look into adding some sort of indicator in the next release.

I just tried mc2xml. It works like my old program (i-xmltv) but is simpler and works with 64-bit windows. It can flag new shows with an asterisk so it solves my problem. Thanks!

Any chance there is a patch to make this available now?
What, me worry?

No. We're beyond the patch stage now. My builds are no longer compatible with 3.4.8.

I see the new "NEW" indicator available in 3.5.7. Is there now a way to get the (*) added to the actual name of the show?

Is the "NEW" indicator available to TV Listings, or must the plugin be updated?

Thanks
