Audio, blank screen on live TV

I have just setup NPVR, but when I try to watch Live TV , I get audio but a black screen, same when I try to watch a recording.
When installing Kodi or similar, does this intergrate into NPVR or do I have to do it manually, how is this done?
I hope I have included the correct log!:o

Might be a decoder problem. NextPVR does not include any decoders. The lists that you see in the Settings --> Decoders screen are lists of the decoders that happened to be on your computer because, for example, they are included in Windows or in some other software that you have installed.

Comprehensive decoders that should work in most situations are LAV at https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters...s/tag/0.65

I have downloaded and installed(?) SAF6, still have the same problem, do I have to do anything with SAF6, does it do it's own thing without my help?

I have also installed and configured Kodi, how do I get all of this to stream to my Sony Bravia TV via LAN?

You should have run the .EXE file that you downloaded for SAF and that will have installed decoders and also will have configured NextPVR to use the decoders.

What values do you have for MPEG2 Video and for H.264 Video in Settings --> Decoders?

I have got everything working, thanks for your help, all I have to do now is to get all of the content on Kodi to my Sony TV.

I have found some info that suggests that to get Kodi to a TV requires, connection from the PC to TV via a HDMI cable, is this correct, as I now use an Ethernet cable to wath WMC recordings on my TV?

If you don't want to use Kodi, you should be able to continue to connect and play your NextPVR recordings from your SmartTV's client assuming it supports mpeg-ts format in addition to wtv. Failing that, some new Sony TVs do run Android allowing you to sideload Kodi right on the TV. No idea how well that version of Kodi works.

I've recently set up NPVR but am having the same issues with the black screen and no audio. I use Zap2it to get the epg data and have no problems loading channels. Fow now I have only loaded two to try and figure out what is going on. As far as I can tell it's a decoder issue but no matter what codec pack I try I have no success. The latest are the SAF6 files. I have selected Lav in everyone except H.264, which defaulted to MS DTV-DVD Vid Decoder. However, even setting to Lav made no difference.

Attached is my latest log file. Any help would be appreciated. I believe I have exhausted all my efforts in trying to get this to view.

I selected options during the SAF install that recognized my tuner and I enabled HDMI and audio passthrough, which when tested via the test button during install worked fine.

Windows 10 is the OS

I've recently set up NPVR but am having the same issues with the black screen and no audio.

It is easier to diagnose problems by making and playing back a recording. Please record a show. Check that a .ts file has been created in the recording folder and that the file is not 0 bytes in size. Playback the recording and report symptoms.

Please check that Video Renderer is set to EVR and Audio Renderer is set to Default.

the EVR and AR were never touched in the settings. So yes, it is set to EVR and default accordingly.

I haven't made a recording yet so I'll have to figure that out quickly. I'll check for the .ts and size and get back to you. It wont be til late today as I am at work right now.

OK, so I started the recording and all went fine. The program showed up in my recordings list. After the recording was complete, I went into Recordings and the show I recorded stated 'Failed'.
There is no .ts file located in my recordings folder, which is the default location.

I went back to recordings and the recording that says 'Failed' has a small description in red in bottom right corner --> 'No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a...'
