Unable to start device: Device Failed to start

Hello,

i can't scan a device. I get the error message:

Unable to start device: Device failed to start.

With MediaPortal and ArgusTV the TV Card is running. It is a DigitalDevices DVB-C.
When i scan all ArgusTV and MediaPortal Services are deactivated.

At the top of the device settings, did you leave the "CI / CAM" setting on "None" or have you set it to something else?

I have set it to Common Interface H/W. That does not matter. With "none" it doesn't go also.

Can you post the logs from a scan with it set to None?

Can you run FilterCheck.exe in the NextPVR directory, and post the FilterCheck.txt it creates?

Oh i have to run it with Administrator.

The problem relates to dodgy pin medium reported by the tuner filters. The app uses these (as per Microsoft recommendations) to find which components are related and go together. Unfortunately this device is reporting an all zero medium on the tuner. It should be the same the value on the capture filter. We've seen this with some other 'Digital Devices' cards in the past, but I'm not sure if we've had a user of this particular device before.
