change how LiveTV guide listings starts up in Kodi

I use the guide for LiveTV in Kodi and it is such a stupid hassle that if I click on a listing, a screen opens and I have to scroll over to "SWITCH" to start viewing.. who in the world thought this up?

Why can't it be if I click a guide listing, that it will automatically start to play that channel. Makes absolutely zero sense the way it is now. I am sure someone will have some lame excuse why it is this way. So, at the very least have it so you can make it open in setup.

This is really a Kodi thing rather than anything NextPVR or the NextPVR addon have any control over.

In NextPVR itself you can just press the Play button on your remote in the TV Guide to start playback of that channel.

What makes zero sense is posting and complaining rather then reading the Kodi wiki and seeing that switch can be defaulted as the select option.

All screens, and the flow between them and the keystrokes etc, are things that Kodi UI does itself. NextPVR is just providing data (like the names of the channels and TV listings), and live streams when requested.

As Martin said though, a lot of this is configurable in Kodi.
