No, its not the "same error". This message just means "something failed". There could be many different reasons for this. Provide a more detail description of your setup.

I finally found out why!

Some how my Norton Security was set to blocked "GBPVR.exe".
Some how this only resulted in me not being able to see Live TV?

I deleted the program from the list Norton Security list and when Norton popped ud I chose allow again....it worked until I rebooted.

I now defined the rule manually and it works!
Cheers

Each time I update the version, I have to tell Norton 'Worm' to allow my MVP to work. Usually it will let you to permit 1 time but in my case, it continues to pop up. This has never happened in live tv. It can always be disabled.

As others have mentioned, I too see this error.

My machine:
A7N8X Deluxe
AMD 3200+
1.25GB DDR400
half a TB or so of HD space
WinFast TV2000 XP

Fresh install of XP, newly installed GB-PVR

I checked to see that the service is indeed running, and all features seem to be set to what they should be after searching these forums. This problem so far only seems to take place while trying to watch Live TV, although I have not yet been able to get the record feature to work yet, either (baby steps). I did try the "quick record" a couple times, but the record status in the service only says "sleeping", nothing else. It does create an empty directory in my output path, however.

I notice there seem to be a large number of log files. Is there any in particular that may help with this problem?

Thanks in advance!!
