Disable/enable channel?

I have a number of channels that are no interest to me, so I deleted them, however when I do a rescan they appear gain (as o would expect)... Is there a way to disable a channel? So that I can hide these channels but don't have to re-delete them after a re-scan??? I do appreciate that re-scanning channel is a regular task....

A scan always adds any channels found that you don't have.

Kodi will always mirror the channels you have in NextPVR. There are two choices:

1- remove the channels from NextPVR and rescan in Kodi.

2- Setup a channel group in NextPVR for the channels you want. Rescan and Kodi and that channel group should be available somewhere in the guide menu so you can see the guide for just those channels. The unfortunate thing is that Kodi always goes back to the all channels group, so this is a kind of manual work around.

Thanks for this, I've set up a "my channels" group, I was using "Groups" already, partly so the kids could find their channels quickly, the skin I'm using seems to save the last group used so in my case it's a perfect solution!!!
