More thorough scanning?

I have scanned the digital TV channels and one entire provider (SBS) has not been picked up. In my Leadtek software there were various levels of scanning and after mucking about I managed to get SBS included in the channel list.

So I am wondering if there is a way to tweak scanning to grab problem channels.

Thanks for any help

The tuning file for your region may be out of date - try scanning All Regions...

Yep, what he said - it's probably juts a matter of ensuring the correct frequencies. There is no reason it shouldn't pick up your SBS channel assuming it's scanning it's correct frequency.

Thanks guys. Scanning now and SBS is showing. Is that list contained by NextPVR or the TV stations or whatever? Is there some way I can update it fro NextPVR?

It's a list of frequencies maintained by the community, in files distributed with NextPVR. If the frequency list for your local transmitter is incorrect, and you want to update the file in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-T to correct it, then supply me the file and I'll update it for future builds of the installer.

No worries. Glad to try to help. How do I best send it to you?

Sorry, also how do I correct it and what file? Australia-Perth.ini?

OK. I am assuming I just substitute the correct frequencies for the old ones in the .ini?

Yep, just update the file, do a scan to confirm it finds the channels with the frequencies you've updated, then zip and attach the ini file and I'll make sure it gets included in the next release.
