Cablecard compatibility

Can anyone tell me which Cablecard is compatible with NextPVR? My cable provider encrypts all digital channels as of a few weeks ago. I want to go to Windows 10 in the near future and continue using NextPVR and whatever Cablecard that will work. Please help.

Yes, NextPVR is compatible with SiliconDust/Ceton/Hauppauge CableCard devices, but only the channels that are marked as 'copy-freely' by the broadcaster.

Thanks for the information. Do you have experience using either? Which one would you recommend? How do you find out if channels are marked as "copy-freely". Is this something published by the cable company?

The SiliconDust devices are definitely the best CableCard devices to go for.

It's not so easy to find not so straight forward to find our which channels are copy-freely without trying it. What cable company are with? This will usually give a decent indication.
