Autostart recording service in Win10?

Autostart recording service in Win10?

I've come to discover that the NPVR Recording Service is not automatically starting when my PC reboots. If I open Services and locate NPVR Recording Service, the setting for Startup Type is set to Automatic. I would think that would do it, but apparently no? Is there something else I need to do?

I'm not aware of any issues with it not auto starting in Win10. I'm using Win10 here.

Does the nrecord.log get updated when you reboot? If so, post the log and I'll take a look.

Not sure. The date/time stamp on the file is very recent, so I'm guessing yes?

That log looks like it's starting fine.

You might need to stop the recording service, delete the logs, then reboot to see exactly what files you've got.

The web server might not be starting. I see you use the NMT and are trying some different screen choices. Is your real problem with the NMT? Can you start a browser to NEWA? I know you have had an ongoing problem with this.

Yes, I have two NMT's. I was just fiddling with the menu alignment settings because I replaced an old 4:3 TV with a new plasma and was finally getting around to realigning and resizing the menu screens. Other than that, both NMT's are working just fine.

My only issue is, since upgrading to Win10 earlier this year, the recording service doesn't seem to start when the PC reboots. The little "n" logo appears in the taskbar, but it's got the little white dots around the outside (which is how I know the recording service isn't running). I have to manually start it each time.

Yes, I connected to NEWA just fine.

Thanks. I recall reading that some users have had to use the delay start on the service

I have set the service to delayed start... I'll report back the results the next time I reboot.
