I have a twin tuner dvb-s2 card and am trying with some success to get it working with acamd.

What I have done so far is put acamd.dll and the card client.conf which contains the same n line in both files newcamdConfusederver:port:0/0000/0000:bilbopvr:password123:0102030405060708091011121314 in each of the tuner folders in mdplugins. Oscam server.

On the devices, multidec is enabled with one instance, have also tried 0 instances on both tuners.

What happens is I can watch a channel and additional files are created in the tuner A folder. What I cannot do is record on and watch one, from what I can tell the acamd in the tuner B folder is not invoked at all, no files created and I get a black screen. When running acamd monitor only one tab is made for tuner a.

I also tried putting a different line in tuner b but acamd still did not seem to get invoked.

Is there something I have missed in the setup? or a way to see if acamd is getting called a second time or even a more preferred plugin.

I am running windows10 64 bit, tuner tbs 6981. Watching and recording works fine on all of the fta channels.

Many thanks

You should have instances set to 1 or more if you're using multidec. Start with 1.

On the Settings->Recording tab, make sure you have 'use out of process digital recording' ticked.

With the updated NPVRTSMon.ax attached, create a c:\temp directory and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR\LogMultidec=1 (DWORD). Then restart the recording service, and try using both tuners, then post the NextPVR logs, and the c:\temp\mdapi*.log files.

I put the attached file in C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR overwriting what was there, created c:\temp and added reg entry as below:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR]
"InstallDirectory"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\NPVR"
"DataDirectory"="C:\\Users\\Public\\NPVR"
"LogMultidec"=dword:00000001
restarted
then watched a channel, changed channel worked ok, pressed stop. Tried to record a channel, and watch one both resulting in blackness. Logs attached, no c:\temp logs were created.

thank you

Hmmm. Try again with this one. Hopefully it'll get those logs.

Keep the steps to a minimum so there is not too much superfluous logging.

Hi, still no logs in c:\temp unfortunately. I previously installed mdapi_plus thinking I needed to, could that be causing this issue and the logging issue? That was before I found ffdecsa on this site which I think is all I needed.

Are you running a 64 bit verrsion of Windows? This registry settings are for 64 bit windows. 32bit would be in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NPVR

I got the log this time. I put a channel on to record, and then tried to play another channel. Just the one mdapi log was produced.

It looks like both the channels you tried are on the same frequency, so it's doing both on the same tuner. If you try channels on different frequencies, so the the second tuner get used, do you get logs for both?
