xrecording - New icons

Anyone out there know how to create/submit new icons for shows?

I would create some if I new how to make them active.

i.e. The tonight show, Rough Sience, etc which come back with none.
Also, I have clicked the "Click Here" to make them and it just tries to download them.

Yes, That downloads ones that already exist.

I have used ctrl-S for some (the red green show, who's line is it anyway, nova, etc) But some come back with nothing (the tonight show). I would create the graphics and upload it but I don't know where to upload it to, to get the ctrl-s D!Load to work.

Any further info would be great.

you can download the images yourself from imdb and tvtomb

As I am in Sweden often the name of the recorded show does not get any icons from IMDB via ctrl-s or remote stop button.

I then fetch icons manually via IMDB and searching for the english name and then saving in the exact name as the recording - saving to /GBPVR/Art as .jpg
Also I fetch pictures from the TVchannels site and it works good

I had the same issue with some TV shows that do not seem to have art work downloadable. You can put art-work in the 'art' folder in the gbpvr directory, with the artwork named for the show - the names must match what the show is called in gbpvr - it works seamlessly (e.g. The Hollow Men.jpg, The Office.jpg, Greys Anatomy.jpg)

So, what we need is a web site where people can upload/download Fan created images.

Is there such a thing?
Is there much of a demand for such a thing?
It would be best for the xrecordings guys to do this but if they don't want to I may be inclined to do it if theres much of a demand.

You could fill some int'l niche I think, but it's a hard sell generally because:
a) d/l works ok for most
b) there are a lot of shows

Again, maybe there are a lot of ppl in your situation who would love it. If you want to find out, do it for yourself and make it public, and see what attention you draw. Kind of like GB itself.

sounds interesting. The download icons works for all of my shows (since they are what I tested with) if anyone ever has a problem with a show that has an icon in imdb.com please pm me with the show name and I will update the algorithm to fetch it as well.
