In the latest version of LibreElec 8.2 Beta (8.1.1) running KODI 17.4 SMB1 is disabled by default whereas previous versions of KODI only ever used SMB1. There is a lot of info about the changes and problems it may cause in the release notes!
I had to enable SMB1 in KODI to see my Windows 7 server. After I disabled SMB1 on my Windows 7 server KODI could no longer see the server. However after I used the command to enable SMB2 I could see the server even though SMB2 is supposed to be enabled by default.
I mainly use the SMB connection to the server in X-NEWA in path substitution so I dont get the problem watching in progress recordings.
