Came across something unexpected . I went to settings MISC and changed time shifting mode to EPG based. ( i have a zap2it epg). When I saved my setting and returned to live tv I hit CTRL K to record the show that had been running in the background while I made my adjustment. Immediately I got a box pop up saying application error and that if I hit continue it would attempt to ignore the error and continue. so I hit C and the box would not go away. But I could still see Nextpvr menu behind it.. so I tried exit and it did and then the error box went away.

So I restarted nextpvr and zipped the log files. attached here.

Then I noticed that a title existed in the recordings of the show I hit ctrl K on. So I clicked on it and tried to play it. Immediately a popup message appeared in a box. It said "Beef is not dead". Again I had to figure out how to exit. restarted nextpvr zipped log file.

When I had a quick look near the end of the log file from the first incident I noticed some error messages about logging into schedules direct and that it could not do so. Thats was interesting as I dont use Schedules direct. I use zap2it epg for 90% of my stuff and a few stations have DVB/ATSC as the source of the EPG as they dont appear in the zap2it.

I guess the timeshifting does not work with EPG in this version? Will go back to Time Based for now as I never had any errors at all with that.

I wouldn't have expected an error, but I also wouldn't have expected this to work - it wouldn't have a applied to a live tv session already running. In fact, enabling it while live tv was already running could definitely lead to unexpected results.

Now that you've enabled it, and restarted, is it still not working?
