Good Day...

@Sub...well initially I started this thread because I was having problems recording. Now the problem seems to be that I cannot get to view TV content at all. I will search for some recorded files that did record originally and see if I can view them in NPVR recordings. I know that I was able to view the recorded content using WMP and Movies & TV app so I will give that a go. As for TeamViewer, sure anything at this point would help.

@Graham...since I was not getting any TV content to play I don't think I tried to record anything to be honest. However, I will give that a go and report back.

@Martin...the URL's I am using are

M3U PLAY LIST URL
"http://vaders.tv/vget?username=xxx&password=xxx&filterCategory=Afghani%2CArabic%2CBangla%2CFilipino%2CFrance%2CCermany%2CGujrati%2CIndia%2CIreland%2CItaly%2CLatino%2CLive+Events%2CMalayalam%2CMarathi%2CPakistan%2CPortugal%2CPunjabi%2CSpain%2CTamil%2CUnited+States+-+Regionals&format=ts&type=plugin&pluginName=plugin.video.Vader"

and

EPG SETTINGS
http://vaders.tv/p2.xml.gz

I do not have Kodi running or anything else for that matter when trying to use NPVR. My whole objective is to eliminate Kodi and just use NPVR since it allows IPTV to be played. So as far as that weird URL you mentioned, I have no idea how or why its coming into play. What I can do is to uninstall Kodi from my main W10 box which should eliminate this issue or install NPVR on my W7 based laptop which has nothing on it to see if that helps.

For now I will process the ideas from Sub and Graham first then proceed with either uninstalling Kodi or using my W7 laptop. As a last result we may have to go the TeamViewer route. I really do appreciate all your help.

TIA

I've just played around with the m3u URL you gave me. It's designed for use only with the kodi vaders plugin thing, which expects a server to be running locally on the machine.

Delete your channels, and try reimporting them, but this time remove "&pluginName=plugin.video.Vader" from the end of your m3u url, so it ends with "format=ts". This will give you channel urls that don't depend on this local server. I just did a brief check, and confirmed I'm able to watch your channels.

Just as an outside comment from someone that has been there done that (even if it was many many many many moons ago) it is best to think of setting up a computer PVR as a set of steps that really should be done in this order..... after running through the initial program setup of course

1) get your channels setup & get guide data working
2) get recordings to work & check they will play in a different player
3) get recordings to play in NextPVR
4) get LiveTV to play in NextPVR
5) add any other add-ons after the above is all up & running properly
6) don't rush the process.

OMG...OMG...OMG...!!! It is working now. It appears that the URL change fixed the issue. I can now watch Live TV and watch TV shows through the TV Guide. I tested out some recording as well and that too works!! Played the recordings on other apps and they work just fine.

Thanks for all the help gentlemen but it is a sad day as well. Cause now that NPVR is working as it should be, I no longer have a reason to post my issues. LAV codecs are install as well and al is good. Wow I am totally beside myself. I am going to keep this configuration for a while before throwing anything else at it. The next test will be to schedule some recordings and get that dialed in. So hopefully it works as smooth as it is working now. Once again guys thanks and have a fantastic holiday. Cheers.

This is an old thread, I know, but thank you x100 for working through the first issues. NextPVR works beautifully with my IPTV service, and my recordings are amazing.

I feel a mid-year donation coming on... Smile
