I've checked the NextPVR Wiki and found nothing about starting up live TV from the command line. If I can do this, I can start TV at a particular time using Task Scheduler.

Any words of wisdom? Can this be done?

Thanks.

You can run:

NextPVR.exe -direct "Live TV"

to have it start the Live TV menu option.

Apologies, sub, and thank you but my post should have included how to start live TV on a particular channel. Can this be done?

From memory ... NextPVR starts Live TV on the same channel as was in use when Live TV last closed. The channel is stored in a NextPVR registry entry. You would need a two step process ... 1) Set the registry entry to the number of the channel that you want ... 2) Run the NextPVR -Direct command. I suspect that the registry entry is at ...

Close. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NPVR is used by NextPVR for this stuff that needs to be writable by the app.

Works great, gentlemen! Just what the doctored ordered. Using program "reg" to alter the registry and "start" to launch NextPVR.

Thanks again.

Here is an example on how to do this for the client

reg add hkcu\software\npvr\ /v LastChannel /d ### /f

The System account used by Web Client would be slightly different. You would have to hunt this down
