random crashes

My NPVR application seems to randomly crash at times. Yes, I know my system is old, but I cannot figure out why.

Create a c:\temp directory, then next time the crash happens, check if there is a c:\temp\crash.mdmp file. If so, supply this file. It should tell me what crashed.
