Good day...Well first off I had received this problem initially some time ago. That is, the problem of not finding an available capture device with a 403 error code. It was fixed back then through this forum by installing an updated/fixed Nshared.dll file. Everything has been working fine for several months until today. This area experienced an electrical shortage which obviously shut everything down. Once I was back up I returned to watch my programs in NPVR just as prior to the shortage. Which is when I received the error telling me that NPVR was unable to find....

I need your help on this. I have attached the logs as well. Cheers...

Good day Graham...Yes, I have but it didn't solve the issue. It was late last night when I was trying so I will give it another go this morning. I have several Nshared patches I have collected over my use of NPVR and I will start with the latest one again and work backwards. Obviously I don't think it was the power outage rather than Vaders changing something in their system. My opinion is based on the fact that now my Vader URL which started with http://api.vaders.tv/vget?username=...... now has changed to http://vaders.tv/vget?username... leaving off the "api" at the beginning. When I first started with Vaders long ago, the current URL (without api) was the one used to access. Then a few months back like around June, Vaders changed something so that the URL needed to have the "api". This was the second time I got the patch from here. So obviously Vaders made another change somewhere. I will report back my results but hopefully it won't be necessary to reinstall NPVR and start from scratch like I had to do the last time. Cheers!!

Not recommended ... The latest version of any component (such as a .dll) includes all previous fixes. If the latest version of a .dll does not give you the result that you want then it is not at all likely that a previous version of the same .dll will fix it.

Good Day to all...Thanks for the heads up information Graham. I did the patch as you mentioned in post #2 but no joy. However, I did get NPVR back u in running order and everything is fine for now. Here is what i did. First, I completely uninstalled the proggy, don't know if that was necessary but I wanted to start with a fresh install in the event this didn't work and therefore, the logs would be specific to the new install. Anywayz, after installation completed I started my setup beginning with the Vaders URL which is http://api.vaders.tv/vget?username=erika&password=$$$$$. This URL didn't work so using just a browser and entering the same URL it also crashed. I did check Vaders website beforehand to make sure subscription was up to date and it is. So next I modified the URL to http://vaders.tv/vget?username=erika&password=$$$$$ leaving off the "api" portion at the beginning. Entering this into the browser returned vget.m3u which told me that access to Vaders had changed in the URL. So I entered this URL into NPVR in the device setup portion along with the URL for the XML file which was http://vaders.tv/p2.xml but it crashed. Then I entered the Xml URL into the browser and it returned my XML file so I knew it was a good URL. In channel details i looked at one of the channels and under EPG Source it had the following C:\temp\TVGUIDE.xml which when I looked for that file it was nowhere to be found so I browsed for the XML file that was dl'd and NPVR accepted it like normal as it populated the remaining channels correctly.

I launched NPVR and the got video but no sound which i fixed by setting up the proper decoders. Now everything is working fine. I don't know what Vaders did but obviously they made some changes which to me makes no sense if it is just the URL that were effected. Sp thanks to all for pointing me in the right direction. Now i just need to apply this setup to the remaining PC's in my house. BTW no patch was used just the regular install. Cheers!!

PS...The only issue I see with this is that NPVR is pulling the EPG from a local file instead of from Vaders which means that I would have to dl the file constantly???

Good day Martin...No I didn't since NPVR was back working. But, I will try out the patch you mentioned above Which may fix some of the "no show details" I am getting. It looks like Vaders effected quite a bit of folks just on this forum alone. Cheers
