A few days ago I decided to move from ServerWMC in Kodi to NextPVR for channel maintenance reasons. I did a full scan in NextPVR and got EPG, but it had lots of repeat channels and none with correct channel number etc. So I knocked up a powershell script to read data into NextPVR from here:- https://www.satellite-calculations.com/D...php?272/25
then later hoping for more accuracy from here:- https://www.satellite-calculations.com/D...rvices.htm

I then modified my script to merge from multiples of these files and the original nextpvr scan file, de-duping, pruning, renaming and renumbering (to freesat.co.uk names/nums). I have what looks like a perfect freesat list but I now get no EPG and some chans eg ITV2 don't work which locks NextPVR for 120 seconds (though ITV2 settings match those on KingOfSat and ITV's own site?) Any clues on the EPG or why ITV2 is not working greatly appreciated.

I attach my latest channels.xml that I import into NextPVR at Settings->Devices->Import Channels having first cleared the previous channels and I do "Restart Recording Service"then Settings->Channels->Update EPG after.

Great, thanks for that, google was useless. I added Fashion One and unticked all other frequencies in EPG. Now I need to work out why some chans are showing no signal, which hangs NextPVR for 120 seconds! This also happens in Kodi despite setting timeout to 10 seconds. ITV2 in my previous zip shows this issue, but values look 100% correct.

If you've updated values like frequency/SID/TSID etc, then I can only assume some of the values you've used are incorrect.

If you wanted to use the eval version of TSCapture (from https://tscapture.com) to capture a sample 'full transport stream' for the frequency that the scan finds ITV2, and I'll check for you what the real settings are for this channel.

Instead of using 28.2.ini there is a Freesat, ini available which has a subset of the 28.2 frequencies eliminating much of the junk! You still have to identify the regional variation you want!

https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...reesat.ini

You will have to add recent Freesat additions but its a good starting point!
NextPVR Server - HP N54L Microserver, Windows 10 - Storage 2 X 3TB - Tuners DVBSky S952 Twin DVB-S/S2 PCIe, Hauppauge Twin DVB-T2 USB, Telestar Digibit R1 Sat>IP Server.
Clients:- 2 X RPi3, 1 X RPi4 and Acer RL80 Celeron Nettop all running NextPVR New Client on LibreElec.

The frequency/SID/TSID values come from the link here:- https://www.satellite-calculations.com/D...rvices.htm
The xml file I import into NextPVR is generated programmatically from those values. There are actually 49 chans exhibiting this non-broadcast issue and 81 that work fine, I pruned the rest. Maybe it's my dish? I've not used it over last few years. If any UK based satellite NextPVR user, wants to save out their current channel list and import the one I attached in first post, then restart recording service and see of they can get these channels that fail for me, that would confirm things, but I appreciate it's a hassle.

Here's the channels that don't show signal for me:-
113:ITV2
117:ITV4
118:ITVBe

I have no way to tell you if those are correct numbers or not - I don't know anything about that website or your tool to make this file.

Did those channels work when you originally scanned them in NextPVR? If so, I can only assume your dish is pointing the right way and full capable of receiving those channels, but you've got some wrong numbers in the channels you've imported into NextPVR.

And here's the file I produced from the SatCal site (which I then prune and merge in some of the NextPVR file to produce the file in first post)

Well I was using ITV2 as an example and the values correspond to those on KingOfSat and on ITV web site. I checked a few others too. My tool creates the SatCal.xml file I attached in post above, I've checked and rechecked, all looks good. I've also attached the xml file NextPVR scan produced 2 posts up, these failing chans don't seem to exist in it, though I've not checked all 49. The list I produce is the list of channels shown on freesat.co.uk with some pruning.

I attach the list I generated that only contains working channels.

PS - I saw the command line options for NextPVR, it would be handy if there was one to test if a channel is transmitting or not for programmatically testing channels rather than manually going through them.
