Hi, I had a good look around the beta area but couldn't find anything that helped me with this. I have a RPI3 running raspbian with a couple of ancient Twinhan DVB-T usb tuners connected. The devices appear under /dev/dvb and work find with tvheadend but nextpvr doesn't seem to detect them at all. I did see a post where someone added --device=/dev/dvb to the command line for NextPVRServer but that hasn't helped.

Logs attached, any assitance appreciated

When you run the following, what do you get?

./DeviceHostLinux -discover

DeviceHostLinux is not present. Just in case I unzipped NPVR.zip again but it's not present still.

That'd explain it then. I'm about to do another release tomorrow. I'll make sure it's included in the arm NPVR.zip.

The version just uploaded can detect my tuners now but for some reason it shows 2 x cable tuners too although I only have the 2 old Twinhan DVB-T tuners.

As a side note, I'm in Australia and our DVB-T system is a bit dumb. We don't make use of the frequencies listed in the NIT and often they are wrong. In the case of ABC and SBS in regional Australia since they are satellite distributed to multiple terrestrial sites they include all the frequencies for a given region, and that might be a lot. NextPVR currently scans each one of those additional frequencies, maybe an option to have it not follow the NIT might be a possibility.

Ok, I'll check this. The obvious work around is just ignore the DVB-C tuners for now Big Grin

Ok, I'll keep this in mind.

I take you managed to find some channels?

The default frequency files for Linux seem pretty dated, and incorrect for many users. If that's the case for you, just try a more generic scan of larger set of frequencies. Yes, it'll add any frequencies it finds in the NIT - for most people it makes sense to do that. Hopefully after you get the channels scanned in, you wont have to redo. Accept it's offer to copy the channel config to the other tuner.
