v5 Kodi Timeshift

When might the timeshift function be returning to Kodi (18.4 or above)?

This is probably the main reason that I can't retire version 4 yet   Wife is just too used to going back to see what she just missed while watching live TV.

Other reason is complex Remote Control Operation compared to the old NPVR interface - guess some training required there.

Sub and I are re-looking at some issues in time shift right now.

If you use knewc UI client with a Hauppauge or MCE remote the keystokes should be the same as in NextPVR. Let me know if they are not.

I've noticed some updates in recent releases, is TimeShifting now supported in Kodi?  Are there versions dependencies for Kodi and the plugin?
These seem to imply either active support with specific versions or upcoming support for client release updates?
I'm running a slighter earlier version of V5 on Linux Mint with Kodi/NextPVR plugin on a FireStick. (18.4 I believe..)

The public beta builds have been updated (Windows, Linux, Mac, Docker) to 5.0.0.191117
Returning LiveTimeshift=false to kodi, so it doesn't try to use that v4 style of timeshift.

The public builds have been updated (Windows, Linux, Mac, Docker) to 5.0.1.191214.
Improvements and bug fixes in new timeshift functionality, for upcoming kodi and other clients.
Removed <LiveTimeshift> setting from setting.list api, to force Kodi to not use the old v4 style of timeshift

You will need Kodi v18 (I haven't tried earlier then 18.4) , pvr.nextpv 3.3.18 and NextPVR v5.0.1
