Web App Record Series Options

Currently the Record Series button on an episode pop-up from the Guide in the Web App will schedule an All Episodes recurring recording. In may case, since I have good data from Schedules Direct, I basically never use All Episodes recordings. I only use the All New Episodes option. Would you consider either have buttons for both options or a way to specify (could be in config.xml) which type the Record Series button generated?

If it makes any difference, the default 'Record Series' functionality wont record duplicates (of shows either already scheduled, or already recorded).

Duplicate detection assumes a user moved their previous recordings and recently deleted tables imported into NextPVR and have stopped using v4.

I was more specifically thinking about scenarios like in the US where they often repeat last weeks episode before airing the new episode. Record Series will only pickup the shows once.

Also, a series record is specific to a channel, and there isn't too many channels that are randomly airing multiple seasons of a show at the same time, so usually if you do a Series Record on a new show, you'll probably only get the new airings each week.

There are a lot of specialty channels now that air reruns. If I wanted to record NCIS without using new from my database there are 60 different episodes in the next two weeks and only 3 are New

Martin is correct that in my new v5 database, I don't have all of the history from my v4 database, so all of those episodes from last (and other previous) season which I've already recorded and watched get re-recorded in the the v5 system when using the All Episodes option rather than the All New Episodes option.

Also, there are at least a few cases where the major network stations are airing previous season episodes of current series shows in "off hours" (overnight, during the day, weekends). And in those cases, I've got the same problem.
