I like this GB-PVR software and you've been all a tremendous help. I've been using my PVR150 +MVP for the last 2months or so and couldn't have got this far without the info on this forum! But this time I'm stuck and dont know how to proceed. Please help!

Yesterday when watching a previously recorded movie I got 'connecting to servers...' from my MVP (twice in one film). Just now I started the same film again and it stops even after a few minutes! I will be able to watch the rest of the movie when restarting the GB-Server and forward the movie to where we left it, but it did work before without the hassle.

What I did recently (that I can think of) is I upgraded to GB-PVR 91.11. Just before that I ran an upgrade of mediamvp_2.4.23088.exe.
The event-viewer doesn't show me anything strange and neither does the processor show a heavy utilisation.

Could anyone point me in the right direction on where to start troubleshooting?

Thx, Quint

The last thing I got from the GB-PVR.exe.log:
15-4-2005 19:12:47.738 INFO [24] playFile()

It probably depends what happened immediately before this. This error is saying that the MVP has disconnected. The question is what has caused the MVP to disconnect. You can often get a GB-PVR error just before this, which has ment GB-PVR stops sending data to the MVP, or sometimes the MVP has just decided to disconnect because it doesnt like something in the MPEG stream (not too much I can do about this one).

Could it have something to do with the recordings I scheduled? Just before this line you get lots of pages of the RecordingFactory:

I would have thought so, but if your machine was bogged down for a few seconds and the MVP ran out of data, this could be possible cause.

Hi sub,
Looks like my machine was too busy logging things -> log file can easily grow to 15Mb in an hour.
I didn't solve the cause of why it was logging al those things to record but clearing the recordings table in the database did the trick I guess. I got to watch my favorite show tonight without crashing :-)
